On Saturday 6 February we held the auction in the Golf Hotel – our thanks
go to them and to Peter Gilmour – they were an integral part of making the
evening a huge success. I am so pleased to be able to tell you that we raised £2645!
This is way beyond our wildest dreams and will enable us to get the
information system we want in the entrance hall and the laptop to run
the hall projector. The remaining money will be distributed by the PTA.
Our thanks go to all members of the PTA – this was our first event –
what a way to start! We would also like to thank Tony Markley who
acted as auctioneer for the 65 lots and his friends who were a huge
support for our event.
Our next meeting (the AGM) is on Tuesday 16 March at 7.00 in school
and lasts no longer than ½ hour. We will be formalising our PTA at
that meeting so we are covered by insurance policies etc. We are also
going to start the planning of our next big activity which will be a
Summer Ball so if you want to be involved in any way please come along
– all welcome.
