KS3 information:
We follow the Programme of Study and try to make ICT as interesting and
fun as possible whilst giving pupils a good grounding in the five main areas
of word processing, databases, spreadsheets, presentations and desk top publishing.
As they make progress they use all the programs to complete integrated assignments
where they have to use their own judgement to plan in detail.

KS4 information:
The course is very practical and will prove useful to pupils whichever
path they follow. Some of the areas we look at are:
- Human Resource department and how new staff are recruited.
- Wages and deductions so they know exactly how to work out what they
should be paid and where the National Insurance and Income Tax goes - Health and Safety
- Employment rights and responsibilities
- Deciding which program to use for what function
- The business environment
These are all topics that as working adults we regularly use. We have had
great success with this exam for many years.

Assessment how?
We start the syllabus late in Yr 10 but do the assessments in Yr 11 and there are three elements to the assessment:
- A two hour controlled assignment worth 25%
- A one hour theory exam worth 40%
- A practical exam using computers worth 35%
Pupils can achieve from the full grade range, A* to G.
