Subject information:
The pupils complete Unit 1 in Yr 9. In Yr 10 they complete a unit on multimedia and
then a unit where they make a podcast using Audacity. Pupils go on to work and study ICT
on a regular basis either at college or 6th form. They have the opportunity to achieve
well and leave with exceptional ICT skills. We have former pupils who are ICT Technicians,
clerical assistants and undertaking /completed degrees in ICT at University.
KS3 information:
Pupils start the OCR ICT National Unit 1 in Yr 9.
KS4 information:
National Level 2

Assessment how?
We complete Units 4 and 22 in Yr 10 and then have the work moderated so they get the
award in Yr 10. We have 3 units to do for the award. Units 1 and 4 are worth more than
Unit 22. Pupils will be awarded a Distinction (A) Merit (B) or Pass (C).
